A hand-blown glass marble built around a delicate celestial flower suspended within layers of soft aqua glass. 24k gold, 99.9% pure silver and dichroic glass create shimmering textures and flashes of warm gold and iridescent colour throughout. The layered construction gives the flower a sense of depth, as though it is floating inside the marble.

Jared Omas / KRO Glass

Glass artist and co-owner of Passage Gallery, working at the torch in borosilicate. Known for fumed marbles built with 24K gold and silver, air-trap wormholes and honeycomb millefiori, and sculptural mushroom clusters in iridescent earth tones. Teaches every glass class in the studio, usually to people who arrived certain they weren't creative.
